INSTITUTIONAL STATUS DISCLOSURE
Statement of Authorization Status
Leighton University is currently seeking authorization from the Mississippi Commission on College Accreditation (MCCA). At this time, the institution has not received final approval to operate as a postsecondary institution within the State of Mississippi.
Until such authorization is granted, Leighton University may not enroll students, offer instruction, advertise academic programs as active, or provide institutional services, including library services.
Upon receipt of official authorization from MCCA, the University will initiate operations consistent with state regulatory requirements. At that time, academic programs and student support services—including library resources—will become available to admitted students.
This statement is provided to ensure transparency regarding the institution’s current regulatory status. Leighton University is currently NOT open for operation.
